Robotics Club

The MPS High School Robotics Team is associated with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). This volunteer-based organization creates a new robotics competition every year for FIRST teams across the nation to compete in regional events. This organization focuses on getting young people to enjoy and appreciate science and technology. It prepares students for engineering careers by letting them explore and learn skills needed in today's competitive world.

Last year was the clubs rookie year. The club participated in the rookie regional at Kettering University and came in first. The Club also attended the West Michigan Regional held at Grand Valley University.

With the help of several rookie grants, Bennett Construction, and Modern Metal Craft the club did very well as a rookie team. The Robotics Club is interested in support from other local businesses

The Robotics Club began at Dow High but the club would really like to get Midland High involved. The club is interested in starting up a Lego League at Jefferson.
