The Dow High Equestrian Club meets once a month. During the summer, the club host riding practices at the Midland County Fairgrounds and during the fall, members compete as a team against 17 other area high school teams during district competitions. The Equestrian Team participates in three district competitions and if the team qualifies at those, it moves onto regionals and possibly States. During these competitions, there are many events to choose from, whether you’re a speed or an equitation rider, whether you like jumping or trail, the competition has many events to choose from. Throughout the rest of the year, the team fundraises and plans for the meets.  If you don't own a horse yourself, you won't be left out. Everyone is welcome at meetings and to help out with the horses!

The pattern this year will be Pattern 4 from the MIHA Rule book for Jumping, Saddle seat, Speed and Reining.
