Cheerleading is open to all students who are interested in cheerleading and qualify for the squad. Both the varsity and junior varsity squads consist of eight cheerleaders who are chosen the spring before their performing season. There are separate squads for both the fall and winter seasons. Not only do the cheerleaders practice many hours after school, but they also make posters, decorate the athletes lockers and travel to all of the away games.
