1. Attention Seniors! All media center books are due Thursday, May 17th. Starting Friday, May 18th caps and gowns will be held until all books are returned.

Prom tickets are on sale NOW at both lunches. Tickets will be $25 a ticket pre-sale and $30 at the door on the night of the Prom. Tickets will be on sale until Friday May 18 during lunch time only. Make sure you get your tickets for the Prom so you don’t miss out of Mile High from WIOG and so you can have the Best Night Ever!!!
3. Just a reminder that cheer tryouts are coming up on May 22nd through the 24th. You can sign up and pick up information in the main office. If you have a conflict with tryouts, please see Coach Snyder as soon as possible. Go Chargers!
4. The Marine Corps recruiter will be making one final visit to Dow High on Friday, May 18th. If you haven’t had a chance to meet with him and would like to do so, please sign up in the counseling center.
5. Attention Poetry Lovers: The Dow High Poetry Club is sponsoring it’s first ever Open Mic Poetry Night.
Join us at Journey’s Coffehouse on Main Street, Downtown, This Friday night from 7 – 9 p.m.
You can bring a poem to read, or just come to hear some original work read by local poets.
Grab a coffee or a gelatto, read or listen to a few poems, have some fun.
Once again, that’s Open Mic Poetry Night this Friday at Journeys.
6. Hellooooo Dow High students, this Saturday, May 19th, is Midland Blooms. Do you need some volunteer hours or are you looking for something to do? Then come to the Walgreens parking lot at 8:30 a.m. to help Dow High plant flowers! Let’s help make Midland BEAUTIFUL!

8. The Media Center will be closing at 2:30 p.m. today because of a staff meeting.
9. The Girls JV Soccer Team played Davison yesterday winning 4 to 1.

Attention current NHS members, those of you who need clarification on the new requirements expected of all members and the probationary period for new members, please attend this optional meeting on Thursday, May 17 7:10 AM and 2:35PM in the little theater. Again, this is OPTIONAL. If you can’t make the meeting, all the information presented will be on Moodle or you can talk to Mrs. Fredell.
11. Monday night the freshman baseball team picked up two wins over the Coleman JV baseball team 14-4 and 11-0. With the wins, the Chargers are now 12-11 and wrap up their season tonight with a double header at home against Midland High. Come on out and support your fellow Chargers. Game time is at 3:30.
