Herbert Henry Dow High School is a nationally acclaimed secondary school located in Midland, Michigan with a current enrollment of 1,550. H. H. Dow High School is part of the Midland Public School District and was named after Herbert Henry Dow, founder of The Dow Chemical Company which also has its corporate headquarters and Michigan Operations in Midland.
Dow High is an International Baccalaureate World School, a National Blue Ribbon ![]()
School, and recent recipient of the U.S. News Best High School Silver Award.

H. H. Dow High School is a comprehensive four-year high school. When its doors first opened in 1968, only sophomores were in attendance. One grade was added per year and the first class graduated in June of 1971. In 1997, Dow High welcomed its first freshman class.
